Location of the Anta da Chaminé in Portugal.

The Anta da Chaminé ( German  Schornsteindolmen ) is located in a cork oak grove , on the hill of Chamíné, southeast of São Geraldo near Montemor-o-Novo in the Évora district in the Alentejo in Portugal . Anta is the Portuguese name for around 5000 megalithic systems that were built during the Neolithic in the west of the Iberian Peninsula by the successors of the cardial or imprint culture . Other popular terms such as arcas, orcas or lapas usually replace the term dolmen in Portugal . The Anta consists of the chamber with a diameter of just over 2.5 meters, the original structure of which consists of seven granite bearing stones and the ceiling plate is still halfway in situ . The east-facing corridor has four collapsed bearing stones on the south side and two on the north side. There are no traces of the hill or the cover of the corridor, which was at least eight feet long. Eight bowls are engraved on the top of the ceiling plate .

To the north is the Anta Da Comenda Grande or Anta da Herdade das Comendas.
