Antanas Lingis

Antanas Lingis (born December 26, 1905 in Kaunas , † June 6, 1941 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian football player . He was with twelve international goals in 33 games until November 17, 2007 top scorer of the Lithuanian national team , was then replaced by Tomas Danilevičius .

Lingis made his debut for the Lithuanian national team during the Baltic Cup in 1928 : On July 25, 1928, however, there was a 3-0 defeat against Latvia . He scored his first international goal in his fifth international appearance when they beat Estonia 2-1. Since he also scored in the next game, a 3-3 draw against Latvia, he was instrumental in his country's first win of the Baltic Cup. In the second success of his home country in the summer of 1935, he scored one goal in each of the two games.
