Antanas Visockis

Antanas Visockis (born July 18, 1941 in Džiuikiai , Šiauliai Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian painter, watercolorist and art teacher, professor .

Life

Visockis studied at the Janonis Middle School in Šiauliai and from 1957 to 1962 at the Kaunas Art School . In 1968 he graduated from the Dailės institutas in Vilnius . From 1968 to 1969 he taught at the Šiauliai Children's Art School and from 1969 at the Šiaulių pedagoginis institutas (from 1997 Šiaulių universitetas , ŠU). From 1981 to 1985 he headed the chair for painting at the art faculty. He has been a professor at the ŠU since 2004 .

Since 1974 he has been a member of the Lithuanian painting association Lietuvos dailininkų sąjunga , from 1984 to 1988 head of the Šiauliai section of the LDS.
