The Antas de São Gens (also called Anta de San Gens 1 + 2) are located southwest of Nisa , on both sides of the N 1176 road between Alpalhão and Arez in the Portalegre district in Portugal . Both antas were erected in the Chalkpolitum . Only Anta 1 is under protection. The approximately 3.0 m high Anta 1 has a polygonal chamber with once seven bearing stones , some of them in situ , an overlying capstone, a short corridor oriented to the east with two preserved side stones and remains of the hill. A bearing stone is broken and part of it is in the chamber.

Anta 2 had a similar shape but is in a worse condition. There are remains of the chamber and fragments of monoliths that lie on the remainder of the hill. In the chamber there were some bone fragments with scorch marks attached to ceramic fragments.

Nearby are the Antas dos Saragonheiros 1 + 2
