Antena 1 is a Romanian private television broadcaster .
history
After the Romanian Revolution in 1989 , there were initially two television channels in the country. Then a dual system with public and private channels was created, so that the number of television channels rose to 53 by 1996. One of the first private nationwide broadcasters was Antena 1, which was founded in 1993 as a regional broadcaster for Bucharest and the surrounding area. In 2017, Antena 1 was in second place in Romania behind Pro TV with an average of 475,000 viewers a day .
Antena 1 is part of Societatea Antena TV Group SA, the majority of which is held by Camelia-Rodica and Corina-Mirela Voiculescu, the daughters of entrepreneur and politician Dan Voiculescu .

Antena 1 is a broadcaster with a full program . Entertainment programs such as Neatza cu Răzvan și Dani , X Factor (with Delia ) or Te Cunosc De Undeva (with Andreea Bălan ) are particularly popular . The tabloid-heavy news is broadcast daily at 6:00 am, 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
