Pair of antennas
As antenna pairs special arrangements of radio antennas referred coupled electrically or electronically. They are used in various radio measurement systems that work with interference or with the polarization of radio waves.
Examples of radio interferometry are the Minitrack measurement network for determining satellite orbits and the interconnection of radio telescopes for VLBI projects. The paired polarization is u. a. used with butterfly antennas. If three or more antennas are combined in a planar arrangement, this is called an array .
In biology, the front and rear pair of antennas are used when an insect or cancer species has four symmetrical antennae .
