Antero Manninen (musician)
Antero "Mr. Cool "Manninen (* 19th January 1973 in Tampere ) is a Finnish studio - cellist and founding member of the Cello metal quartet Apocalyptica .
biography
Manninen was a student of the cellist Raimo Sariola. He was an official but not a composing member of Apocalyptica and left the band in 1999 as a result of previous commitments. Since Max Lilja left in 2002, he has been part of live performances again, but he is not officially a member. His calm way of playing is a stark contrast to the headbanging pranks of the rest of the band when performing live. In addition to his work at Apocalyptica, he worked for the Tapiola Sinfonietta Avanti !, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Finnish National Opera . He is co-founder of the Sibelius-Academy's Cellosextets (SSS) and is also booked for funerals. Manninen is currently a member of the Sinfonia Lahti .
