Anthony Mounier (born September 27, 1987 in Aubenas ) is a French football player .

Player career

Anthony Mounier played for his first professional club, Olympique Lyon, when he was young . The talented attacker was also used in the B team. In the summer of 2007, he was finally promoted to the first team in Lyon and received his first professional contract. Although he played for Lyon in the Peace Cup in three games and scored one goal, he was no longer used in the first half of the season. He made his league debut on January 12, 2008 in a 3-2 home win over FC Toulouse . In this match he came in the 80th minute for his teammate Hatem Ben Arfa in the game.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to OGC Nice . In July 2012 he moved to HSC Montpellier . After three years in Montpellier, Mounier moved to FC Bologna . In January 2017 he was supposed to play on loan at AS Saint-Étienne , but was not accepted by the club's supporters, so the loan deal was ended after three days. However, since he has not played a game for Saint-Étienne, another loan deal was possible, so that he joined Atalanta Bergamo until the end of the 2016/17 season.
