EU Anti-Terror Coordinator

The EU's Counter -Terrorism Coordinator aims to coordinate the fight against terrorism in the European Union and ensure that the Union plays an active role in the fight against terrorism. The position of the anti-terror coordinator was strengthened with the 2009 Stockholm Program .

The tasks of the coordinator include monitoring the anti-terror strategy and improving communication between the individual organs of the Union that are involved in anti-terror work. It is also intended to promote counter-terrorism cooperation between the EU and third countries.
