List of savings banks in Germany |
The Bezirkssparkasse Reichenau is a savings bank in Baden-Württemberg based in Reichenau on Lake Constance . It is an institution under public law .
Business area and carrier
The boroughs of Reichenau and Allensbach are responsible for the Reichenau district savings bank. A geographical peculiarity is the division of the business area into an "island" on which the main office is located and a mainland area on which the offices are located. The sponsoring community Reichenau extends from the island to the mainland, the district of Waldsiedlung. The other sponsoring community Allensbach added Langenrain-Freudental and Kaltbrunn on July 1, 1974. At the turn of the year on January 1, 1975 through the incorporation of the suburb of Hegne, the community of Allensbach experienced a considerable strengthening. Since then, the communities of Reichenau and Allensbach have been the owners of the Sparkasse.
history
The idea of founding a savings, savings and orphan fund goes back to the minster pastor Adolf Wehrle. After the statutes for the Sparkasse were approved by the Grand Ducal Ministry of the Interior on September 3, 1892, according to Section 1 of the Savings Bank Act, the Reichenau City Council, chaired by Mayor Joseph Koch, drafted the founding resolution on October 1, 1892. The Reichenau municipality assumed liability for this. The official business was initially carried out in a room in the town hall by a computer and a controller. The first annual balance was drawn up in 1892 by councilor Eduard Riedle. This first annual financial statement achieved a surplus of 136.40 marks with a total deposit of 57,656.71 marks.
