Antifascist Action Hanover

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Antifascist Action Hanover (AAH) is a since 2001 existing Antifa group.

Although the Antifascist Action / Nationwide Organization (AA / BO) disbanded in April 2001, the content of this group was based on its structures. The AAH organized numerous demonstrations , the majority of which were directed against neo-Nazi efforts.

In 2005 the group split up due to content and personal differences and disbanded. Two new anti- fascist groups emerged from these structures : On the one hand, the group “Politics. Organization. Praxis (POP) ”, which disbanded in September 2006; on the other hand, a new foundation under the old name "Antifascist Action Hanover". In October 2007 another group split off from this group.

The antifa groups AAH and POP were mentioned in the reports for the protection of the constitution of the state of Lower Saxony from 2001 to 2005. In 2008 and 2009, the AAH was classified as left-wing extremist by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution .
