Antirrhinum sempervirens is a plant from the genus of snapdragons ( Antirrhinum ) in the family of plantain plants (Plantaginaceae).
description
Antirrhinum sempervirens is a dwarf shrub whose prostrate stems reach lengths of 25 cm. The plant has short and shaggy hairs without glands , but occasionally glandular trichomes also appear in the inflorescence . The mostly opposite leaves are 12 to 30 mm long and 5 to 17 mm wide, oblong to elliptical. The leaf stalks are 3 to 7 mm long.
The bracts resemble the foliage leaves. The flower stalks are 5 to 10 mm long. The calyx lobes are 5 to 6 mm long, lanceolate, pointed. The crown is 20 to 25 mm long, white or cream-colored, often veined violet and provided with a purple spot on the upper lip. The palate is yellow or white.
The fruits are almost spherical, glandular hairy capsules with a diameter of 6 mm.
Occurrence and locations
The species is widespread in the central Pyrenees and eastern central Spain . It grows there in the mountains on rocks.
