Antje Ehrlich-Strathausen

Antje Ehrlich-Strathausen (born January 2, 1970 in Erfurt ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former Thuringian member of the state parliament.

Life and work

Antje Ehrlich-Strathausen grew up in Heiligenstadt. She is married and has one child. After completing the 10th grade at the Polytechnic High School, she attended the Institute for Teacher Training in Nordhausen from 1986 to 1990 , where she trained as a primary school teacher. In 1992 she graduated from high school and worked as a teacher until 2004.

In 1999 she joined the SPD. In 2004 Antje Ehrlich-Strathausen became a member of the SPD in the Thuringian state parliament . For the state elections in Thuringia in 2009 , she ran in the Eichsfeld I constituency against Prime Minister Dieter Althaus (CDU). In the traditional CDU stronghold, she received only 11.3% of the vote and was even just behind the candidate of the Left Party, Johanna Scheringer-Wright . Your state list position 27 was also not enough for re-election.

Political and social functions

From 1999 to 2004 she worked in the Heiligenstadt City Council. Antje Ehrlich-Strathausen has been a member of the Eichsfeld district council since 2004 . In addition, she works on the district executive of the Eichsfelder SPD and is the deputy local chairwoman of her party in Heilbad Heiligenstadt . From 2006 to 2009, she was also the state chairman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women .
