Antje Peters-Hirt

Antje Peters-Hirt (* 1953 ) is a German German philologist and former director of the Society for the Promotion of Charitable Activities in Lübeck .

Life

Peters-Hirt is a voluntary manager who plays a major role in shaping the cultural and social civic engagement in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. She has been a member of the board of trustees of the Petrikirche since the 1990s , which was developed into a cultural church during this time. In this context, she has been participating in the Petrivisionen taking place there since 2001 with contributions and organizing the Literary Night . As a sponsor of the Lübeck museums, she campaigned for the Lübeck Ethnographic Museum in the armory at the cathedral , but could not prevent its closure due to Lübeck local politics. As a member of the Society for the Promotion of Charitable Activities since 1992, she was elected to its board of directors in 2004 and was elected director of the society for two terms from 2006 to 2011. Since 2006 she has also been on the board of the non-profit Sparkassenstiftung zu Lübeck . Antje Peters-Hirt was awarded the Order of Merit on ribbon by Prime Minister Peter Harry Carstensen in the Schleswig-Holstein State Library on November 24, 2009 for her voluntary work.
