Antoine Brun (born June 29, 1599 in Dole , † January 2, 1654 in The Hague ) was a lawyer in Dole. As a diplomat, he took part in the negotiations for the Peace of Westphalia as the Spanish envoy for Burgundy .

Life

He came from the family of Claude Brun († 1621), Councilor of Parliament in Dôle, and Marie Dard. Brun married Marguerite Tissot in 1622. From a second marriage, around 1637, with Magdalena d'Accoste, several children were born.

Honors

Brun was ennobled as "Eques auratus", a knight of the golden spur and belonged to the elite of officials of the Holy Roman Empire .
