Antoine Duranthon
Antoine Duranthon (* 1736 in Mussidan , † December 20, 1793 in Bordeaux ) was a French revolutionary.
He was a lawyer and in 1790 became prosecutor for the Bordeaux district. 1792 he was by Louis XVI. Appointed to the Ministry of Justice to replace Minister Marguerite-Louis-François Duport-Dutertre . He was Minister of Justice during the French Revolution from April 14th to July 4th, 1792. For a short time he was also Minister of Finance from June 13th to 18th, 1792. He belonged to the political movement of the Girondins and was a member of their first cabinet . He fell victim to the Terreur in Bordeaux .
