Antoine Nicolas Duchesne
Antoine Nicolas Duchesne (born October 7, 1747 in Versailles , † February 18, 1827 in Paris ) was a French botanist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Duchesne ".
He was particularly interested in strawberries . Duchesne worked, among other things, in the gardens of Versailles Palace , where over the years he was able to put together an important collection of strawberries in the botanical garden of Petit Trianon .
Honor taxon
In honor of the genus Duchesnea Sm. Of the rose family of plants (Rosaceae) was named.
