Antoinette Weibel

Antoinette Weibel (born July 4, 1969 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss trust and organization researcher and professor for personnel management at the University of St. Gallen .

academic career

Weibel studied economics at the University of Zurich and was there in 2002 with the topic of cooperation in strategic knowledge networks. Confidence and control to solve the strategic dilemmas doctorate . In 2008 she completed her habilitation on Governing Voluntary Work Behaviors and received the Venia Legendi in business administration from the University of Zurich. In the same year she took over the chair for management at the University of Liechtenstein and the academic management of the bachelor's degree. In 2010 she held the Chair of Human Resources, Leadership and Decision-Making in the Public Sector atGerman University of Administrative Sciences Speyer . In October 2010 she followed the call of the University of Konstanz . Here she held the chair for administrative science, in particular management theory.

Between 2014 and 2016, Weibel was director at the Institute for Leadership and Personnel Management at the University of St. Gallen and full professor for personnel management. Since 2016 she has been director of the chair for human resource management at the Research Institute for Work and Working Worlds. Weibel is President of the First International Network of Trust Researchers (FINT) and a member of the steering committee of the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS).

In her research, Weibel deals with trust management in companies, corporate trust, stakeholder trust and trust-based leadership. Her other research focuses include positive and evidence-based personnel management, employee engagement, motivation management and the influence of institutions on the motivation of employees and their well-being in the workplace.
