Antonín Jaroslav Klose (born November 24, 1861 in Zbiroh , † September 21, 1906 in Prague ) was a Czech writer.

Life

After attending grammar school in Pilsen and the Technical University in Prague, he worked as an employee in the Prague administration. He was one of the founders of the Máj literary circle.

Works

His poems were melancholy poetry and appeared for the first time in 1883 in the magazines Zličan and Lumír. With the exception of two books, he mostly published in newspapers and magazines. His lyrics were based on harsh reality, were honest, realistic.
