Anton Bocatius
Anton Bocatius , also Anton Bock (* in Pattensen ; † July 18, 1600 in Parchim ), was a scholar and evangelical clergyman .
The son of pastor Heinrich Backsen (also Bock and Bocatius) received his doctorate at the University of Rostock in 1573 for a master's degree . In 1576 he married Margarethe Bording. In the following year he was council professor Paedagogigus as successor to Nikolaus Goniaeus ' at the university . He held the position for three years, and was succeeded by Marcus Hassaeus . In 1582 he finally became superintendent of Parchim, an office which he held until his death in 1600.
