The Innsbruck police inspector Anton Dietz (born December 28, 1888 in Dallwitz , † January 1, 1960 in Innsbruck) is an Austrian Righteous Among the Nations .

On January 18, 1945, the order arrived to transport all inmates of Innsbruck prison to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp . With the help of police inspectors Karl Dickbauer and Anton Dietz, the escape of five Polish Jewish women from prison was planned. Two women managed to escape.

Police inspector Anton Dietz had obtained forged papers for the girls in hiding. Dietz had stated that the two Christian Polish women had lost their papers on their way from Poland to Austria . This gave them job cards as Christian-Polish foreign workers . With the support of Police Inspector Dietz, the girls were brought to the Salzburg village of St. Martin. As Polish foreign workers, they survived the war.

Two other girls from the Innsbruck prison received new papers from Anton Dietz and were able to work as Polish foreign workers in the village of St. Martin.
