Anton Gasselich

Anton Gasselich (born March 22, 1888 in Lassee ; † February 9, 1953 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( GDVP / LB / VdU ) and teacher. Gasselich was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1920 to 1927 and a member of the National Council from 1949 to 1953 .

Life

After primary school, Gasselich attended the teacher training institute in Strebersdorf and subsequently worked as a teacher. In addition to his professional activity, he studied teaching for secondary schools at the University of Vienna and graduated with the academic degree Dr. phil. from. Gasselich worked as a teacher in Vienna, but lived in Lassee. In 1941 he worked in the Government General as head of department for secondary schools in the education and teaching department.

politics

Gasselich was initially politically committed to the Greater German People's Party , which he also represented in the Lower Austrian state parliament from November 4, 1920. During the phase of separation of Vienna from Lower Austria between November 30, 1920 and May 11, 1921, he was a member of the Lower Austria-Land Curia and was a member of the Lower Austrian Parliament until May 20, 1927. In 1923, however, Gasselich had joined the Landbund . After the Second World War, Gasselich became involved in the newly founded Association of Independents and was a member of the federal board. He also represented the VdU from November 8, 1949 until his death in the National Council.
