history

The foundation stone for the bakery was laid in 1902. At that time, the Vierkanthof on Wiener Straße in Petzenkirchen was taken over by Anton and Katharina Haubenberger together with the Maria Theresian concession for the inn and bakery trade. In 1930, the company received the official bakery license for a bakery , a flour chamber and a shop . At that time the company was still run as an inn , bakery and farm . In the 1950s, deliveries were made in the so-called "Gai". In 1965, the Haubis company made a name for itself with the Petzenkirchner Bauernbrot, even beyond the municipality's borders. The increasing number of supermarkets also increased the demand for bread and pastry suppliers. Because of this, the first bread machine was purchased from Haubis.

The company's founder's grandson, also named Anton Haubenberger, converted the company into a GmbH in 1974. In 1987 Anton Haubenberger GmbH began producing pre-cooked, frozen dough pieces , developed by the great-grandson of the company founder. The patent for the production of the pre-cooked, frozen Kaisersemmel was applied for in 1996.

In the following years the company continued to grow and the premises in Petzenkirchen had to be expanded continuously. In 2007 a turnover of 45.5 million euros was achieved with 450 employees.

The Haubiversum bread adventure world was opened in 2008. The destination gives an insight into the bakery trade directly in the company's production facility. The destination has 60,000 visitors and a frequency of over 250,000 people per year.

In 2011, the Neubacher country bakery in Wieselburg was taken over. In 2014 Haubis presented its new brand identity. In the course of this, the logo was also revised.

In 2019, Haubis introduced the Haubis app, with which products can be pre-ordered online and ordered online in the café at the table. The company website also received a relaunch
