Anton Mülleneisen, who was mostly called Toni in the industry , has been the head cameraman for feature films since 1914 . After his debut at Harry Piel , he photographed several dramas by and with Fern Andra in 1915 and also claims to have photographed numerous comedies with Anna Müller-Lincke . Afterwards, Mülleneisen, according to his own statement, served "[four] years in the field and front as an aviator photographer". Film recordings have taken him to Romania , France and Macedonia .

In September 1919, Mülleneisen married Emmy Mercker and, in the early 1920s, continued his film career with Hubert Moest's Moest-Film . His only significant work was to be the Wilhelm Tell film, which he supervised in 1923 in terms of camera technology alongside Guido Seeber . In the following year, Mülleneisen's film career ended and he turned to scientific and documentary film. He subsequently made nature and medical recordings and also worked as a commercial cameraman in sound films.

Most recently, in the early 1940s, Anton “Toni” Mülleneisen was only able to find employment as a camera assistant. His last known place of residence shortly before the end of the war was in Berlin-Charlottenburg . After that his track is lost.

Individual evidence

  1. Year of birth according to Mühsam / Jacobsohn and Krautz, which appears most likely in his biography. His Reichsfilmkammerakte (RFK) names the year 1896. The year 1881, which is circulating on the Internet (filmportal.de, IMDB), is in any case not applicable
  2. according to RFK, Jacobson / Mühsam and Krautz name the rather doubtful year 1910
  3. in Jacobson / Mühsam he wrote: "all Anna Müller-Lincke films (comedies)"
  4. according to Jacobson / Mühsam, p. 129
