Anton Magnus Dorn

Anton Magnus Dorn (* 1940 ) is a German journalist and journalism teacher.

Life

First, Anton Magnus Dorn completed two vocational training courses as a businessman and a police officer. He made up his Abitur at the evening grammar school in Neuss / Rhein and studied theology, German and political science in Tübingen. He received his doctorate with a theological thesis on Max Brod . He received his journalistic training at the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists (ifp). There he worked for 27 years as a director of studies in the training and further education of journalists.

  • In 1996 the “Redaktions Handbuch Katholische Kirche” written by himself and Gerhard Eberts appeared in the series “Journalistische Praxis” edited by Walther von La Roche .

Memberships and honors

Anton Magnus Dorn is a member of the Society of Catholic Publicists in Germany .

In 2012 he was awarded the Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Minister of State Thomas Kreuzer presented it to him at a meeting at the MedienCampus Bayern in Munich.
