Anton Reinthaler

Anton Reinthaler (born January 12, 1950 in Offenhausen ) is an Austrian Kapellmeister , organist and composer .

Life

Anton Reinthaler studied church music , song and oratorio , music education and vocal education at the Vienna University of Music . From 1974 to 2001 he was a speaker for church music in Linz and from 1986 to 2003 the cathedral music director at the Linz Mariendom . He works as a teacher for choir singing and conducting at the Diocesan Conservatory for Church Music in Linz.

Reinthaler is the editor and composer, primarily of sacred choral music, in his own publishing house. Since summer 2007 he has also been working as a painter. His works, which he himself called “music pictures”, can be assigned to abstract expressionism .
