Anton Schaaf (politician, 1890)

Anton Schaaf (born December 5, 1890 in Müntz ; † after 1933) was a German farmer and politician ( center ).

Life

Anton Schaaf was born the son of a farmer. After graduating from primary school in Müntz and attending grammar school in Jülich , he studied agriculture and economics at the universities in Bonn and Berlin for a few semesters . He took as a soldier in the infantry regiment "von Goeben" (second Rhine) no. 28 on the First World War in part and was seriously injured as a result of gas poisoning. After his return he took over his father's inherited farm in Müntz, which he managed in the following years. In addition to his professional activity, he was a board member of the Association of the Rhenish Farmers' Association and the Rhenish Land Association and a member of the Rhenish Chamber of Agriculture.

Schaaf joined the Center Party and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Center Party in the Jülich district . In 1932 he was elected to the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged until 1933.
