Anton Trag
Anton Träger (born June 11, 1819 in Schwechat , † July 7, 1860 in Vienna ) was an Austrian cellist and composer .
Life
Anton Träger studied from 1834 to 1841 with Joseph Merk at the Conservatory of the Society of Friends of Music in Vienna. He then went to Prague and taught from February 1845 to May 1852 at the local conservatory. He performed as a soloist and was also a member of a string quartet . From 1851 he was active in the Vienna Court Opera Orchestra ( Vienna Philharmonic ). Trag died of tuberculosis in the 9th district of Alsergrund in Vienna in 1860 .
