Antoni Milwid
Antoni Milwid (* around 1755 ; † 1837 ) was a Polish composer .
Life
Little more is known about Antoni Milwid's living conditions than that he was probably born in the Silesian region and worked as an instrumentalist in the church chapel in Czerwińsk nad Wisłą . His compositions have remained known to the present day, alongside masses , offertories and litanies, above all a cycle of twelve cantatas . With his symphonies in the style of the Viennese Classic , Milwid is considered to be the founder of Polish symphonies.
