Antonina Mikhailovna Maximova
Antonina Mikhailovna Maximowa ( Russian Антонина Михайловна Максимова ; born November 7, 1916 in Tula ; † October 4, 1986 ) was a Russian actress .
Life
After training as an actress, she played at the Moscow Comedy Theater from 1938, followed by an engagement in Saratov . From 1941 to 1943 she served as a radio operator at the front, from 1943 to 1946 she was an actress in a front theater. Since 1947 she worked in the cinema studio Mosfilm .
After her Emilia in Sergei Jutkewitsch's 1955 film adaptation of Othello , she became internationally known in 1959 with the role of mother in Grigori Tschuchrai's Die Ballad vom Soldier .
