society
The Flores, who grew up in the state of Jalisco , received a contract with Atlas Guadalajara from Guadalajara , the capital of Jalisco , before the introduction of the Mexican professional league in the 1943/44 season . In the following years, Flores was an important part of what is probably the best, but at least most successful, team in the history of the Atlas club and won the national cup competition twice (1946 and 1950) and the only championship title (1951) in the history of the Rojinegros . In addition, Flores won the subsequent Supercup final with Atlas in all three cases .
National team
His debut in the Mexican national team was El Niño Flores on his 24th birthday in a game played on July 13, 1947 against the USA, which was won 5-0. In September 1949, he completed all four of the Mexicans' international matches in the context of World Cup qualification , which were won against the USA (6: 0 and 6: 2) and Cuba (2: 0 and 3: 0). In these games, Flores scored his only two international goals: the first on September 4 to lead the USA 1-0 (final score 6-0) and the second on September 25, 1949 in a 3-0 win against Cuba.
The highlight of his national team career was his participation in the 1950 World Cup , where he played the preliminary rounds against Yugoslavia (1: 4) and Switzerland (1: 2). The game against the "Confederates" on July 2, 1950 was also his last international appearance.
