Antonino Pietro Gullotti (born January 14, 1922 in Ucria , Messina province , † August 9, 1989 in Rome ) was an Italian politician of the Democrazia Cristiana (DC), who was a member of the Chamber of Deputies ( Camera dei deputati ) between 1958 and 1989 . He held several ministerial offices in different governments.

Life

After attending school, Gullotti studied law and then worked as a lawyer . As a candidate for Democrazia Cristiana (DC) in the elections of May 25, 1958 , he became a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the first time ( Camera dei deputati )elected, of which he was a member for more than 31 years until his death on August 9, 1989. During his membership in parliament he was in the third and at the beginning of the fourth legislative period from June 1958 to January 1965 a member of the Committee on Industry, Trade, Crafts and Foreign Trade. In the fourth and fifth legislative periods from July 1963 to May 1972 he was also a member of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, State Organization, Regions and General Order of the Public Service. During the sixth and seventh legislative periods, he was a member of the Judiciary Committee of the Chamber of Deputies from May 1972 to July 1978.

On June 26, 1972, Gullotti was appointed to a ministerial office by Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti in his second cabinet as Minister for Public Works (Ministro dei Lavori Pubblici) and held this ministerial office until July 7, 1973. In the fourth and fifth Rumor cabinet that followed, he held the post of Minister for State Participations (Ministro delle Partecipazioni Statali) between July 7, 1973 and November 23, 1974 . He was then in the fourth Moro cabinet from November 23, 1974 to February 12, 1976 Minister of Health (Ministro della Sanità) and then again Minister for in the fifth Moro cabinet and the third Andreotti cabinet between February 12, 1976 and March 11, 1978 public works. In the fourth Andreotti cabinet he served from March 11, 1978 to March 20, 1979 as Minister for Post and Telecommunications (Ministro delle Poste e Telecomunicazioni) . He was a member of the Public Works Committee between July 1978 and June 1979. Most recently he was a member of the Judiciary Committee of the Chamber of Deputies during the eighth, ninth and tenth legislative periods from July 1979 until his death on August 9, 1989.

Most recently, Gullotti was Minister for Cultural Goods and the Environment (Ministro dei Beni Culturali e Ambientali) in the first and second Craxi cabinet and in the sixth Fanfani cabinet between August 4, 1983 and July 28, 1987 .
