Antonio Létourneau

Antonio Létourneau (born August 28, 1885 in Quebec , † October 29, 1948 in Montreal ) was a Canadian organist and music teacher.

Létourneau performed as a child in the Notre-Dame church in Montreal. From 1900 he studied with Caroline Racicot and from 1904 he was a piano and organ student of Romain-Octave Pelletier , later of Alfred La Liberté . From 1917 to 1920 he was organist at the Church of St-Georges , then until his death at the Church of St-Louis-de-France .

He also taught solfège at the Schola Cantorum and gave piano and organ lessons privately and at the Conservatoire National , of which he was a member of the board. Françoise Aubut and Colombe Pelletier were among his students .

Since 1912 Létourneau was married to the singer Marie-Anne Godbout . His daughter Marthe Létourneau became known as a singer.
