Antonio Tabares

Antonio Tabares Martín (* 1973 in Santa Cruz de La Palma , Spain ) is a Spanish playwright .

Life

Tabares studied information science at the Complutense University of Madrid and took several theater courses. He found work as a journalist and began writing plays in his spare time. His play La sombra de don Alonso was awarded the Premio "Domingo Pérez Minik" by the University of La Laguna in 2002.

He celebrated a great success in 2011 with the premiere of his play La punta del iceberg . The thriller is based on the basic idea of suicide motivation . Within a corporation, three employees commit suicide and the managing director has to find out the cause. Directed by David Cánovas , the play is currently being filmed with Maribel Verdú , Fernando Cayo and Álex García in the leading roles.
