Antonius Rüsenberg (born May 6, 1943 in Steinheim , Höxter district , † June 14, 2016 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

After attending primary school, Antonius Rüsenberg completed an apprenticeship as a farm mechanic from 1957 to 1961. He passed the journeyman's examination in 1961. He then worked as a farm machinist until 1963. From 1963 to 1964 he attended the Bad Honnef Social Institute, from 1964 to 1966 he worked as an agricultural machinery mechanic. He graduated from the higher technical school for social work in Cologne from 1966 to 1969. From 1969 to 1980 he worked as a social worker at the district youth welfare office in Höxter .

politics

Antonius Rüsenberg had been a member of the CDU since 1962. He was the local association chairman and chairman of the CDU city association Steinheim. From 1973 to 1999 he was chairman of the CDU district association Höxter. Rüsenberg was a member of the CDU district committee for East Westphalia-Lippe for 32 years and of the CDU state committee for North Rhine-Westphalia for 21 years. He was also a member of the Christian Democratic Workers 'Union (CDA), the Catholic workers' movement (KAB) and the Kolping Society .

Antonius Rüsenberg was directly elected member of the 9th , 10th , 11th , 12th and 13th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1980 to 2005. Here he held the position of deputy chairman of the CDU state parliamentary group and was a family member for 15 years. and youth policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.

Rüsenberg died at the age of 73.
