Anthony's Chapel

The St. Antonius Chapel is a Catholic church in the Hitdorf district of Leverkusen . It belongs to the parish of St. Stephanus and is located in the immediate vicinity of the right bank of the Rhine in the northwest of the village.

history

The simple neo-Romanesque brick building with a semicircular apse dates from the 19th century. It was first mentioned in 1829 as "Chapel zu Hittorf". In 1976 it was renovated. Inside is the oak figure of St. Anthony of Padua from the first half of the 18th century. The chapel was on 19 July 1984 under monument protection provided.
