Antony Daniel Costa (born June 23, 1981 in Edgware , Middlesex ) is a British singer who became known as a member of the boy band Blue .
Life
Costa founded the boy band Blue in 2001 together with the singers Duncan James , Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe . The band became one of the most successful in Great Britain. Between 2001 and 2003, the band's three singles and three albums landed at number 1 on the local charts. Blue sold around 13 million records worldwide.
He also starred in several television shows and in 2005 participated in the fifth season of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! , the UK version of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! , part.
Costa used the band's creative break, like his bandmates Ryan and Webbe before, to pursue a solo project. In February 2006 his debut single Do You Ever Think Of Me appeared , with which he did not quite achieve the success of his colleagues. His first album Heartful of Soul was released in April 2006, but only in Japan.
On March 4, 2006 Costa took part in the British qualifying for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song Beautiful Thing and finished second.
He is currently singing the leading role of Michael Johnstone (Mickey) in the famous musical "Blood Blothers" at the "Phoenix Theater" in London. His next project will be the UK tour in the musical Boogie Nights, in which he will again play one of the leading roles. Boogie Nights is performed in Bromley, among others.
