Anuj Lugun

Anuj Lugun ( Hindi अनुज लुगुन born on January 10, 1986 in Simdega , Jharkhand ) is an Indian author who wrote his texts in Hindi and was best known for his poetry .

life and work

Anuj Lugun studied at Ranchi College and Banaras Hindu University . He is an Assistant Professor at the Central University of South Bihar in Gaya .

Anju Lugun belongs to the Munda ethnic group and in his writing also addresses the loss of tribal identity and the natural foundations of life of the Adivasi . He also takes up myths of his ethnic group in his texts and deals with the history of their struggles. He describes his poetry as a vehicle for a "philosophy of resistance".

Lugun's poetic work has received several awards. In 2009 he was awarded the Muktibodh Rashtriya Kavya Sammaan and in 2011 the Bharat Bhushan Agarwal Award . In 2019 he was awarded the Yuva Puraskar of the Sahitya Akademi for his long poem Bagh aur Sugna Munda ki Beti (German: The Tiger and the Daughter of Sugna Munda ). In it he describes the effects of deforestation on tigers and other wild animals and tells of the struggle between humans and animals.
