Flåodden ( Norwegian for Simsspitze , English Flåodden Cape ) is a striking cape on the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It is 2 km southeast of Cape Borley .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the cape, mapped it in 1946 using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The translation into English was made by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia on July 31, 1972.
