The Anvil rock (of English anvil , anvil ' ) is a marine rocks off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between Grotto Island and the southeastern end of the Forge Islands in the group of Argentine Islands of the Wilhelm Archipelago .

Mapping and descriptive naming were made by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill in 1935.
