Anwande was the name given to the area at the front of a field where the plow was turned. There were also the terms Anert , Anwandel , Anwandel , Anwändel , Anwander , Anwende , Verwaltung and Ahlewand used.

If the application was outside of one's own field, the type and time limit of use was determined by legal relationships. The fields, rains , paths or tubs on which the Anwande lay were sometimes referred to as Anwande themselves. An application field was a narrow strip of land that lay across other fields in their plow turning area, a gain a corresponding narrow gain .

In a broader sense, Anwande was also used as a designation for a field border or as the border of a larger area.
