Anwar Kandafil

Anwar Kandafil (born June 3, 1973 in Casablanca ) is a former Moroccan wrestler .

He won the bronze medal in the Greco-Roman style at the African Championships in 1994 in the class up to 68 kg . In 1996 he became vice-African champion. In the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta , where he finished 19th. At the African Championships in 1998 Kandafil won the gold medal in the class up to 69 kg. In 2000 he qualified for the Olympic Games in Sydney . However, he was excluded from the games after a positive doping test shortly before the start of the competitions. In 2002 he won silver at the African Championships in the 74 kg class.
