Scoreboard for Pastoral Care
The Anzeiger für die Seelsorge is the largest Catholic magazine for pastoral and community practice in the German-speaking area and is published by Herder . It used to be the scoreboard for the Catholic clergy .
The Anzeiger für die Seelsorge has been published since 1891. Klaus Vellguth has been the editor since 2001 .

Each issue is dedicated to a key topic. In addition, there are the sections “Im Blick” with theological specialist articles, “Impulse” with spiritually oriented articles and various service sections.

Well-known authors publish in the Anzeiger für die Seelsorge, z. B. Franz-Josef Bode , Sabine Demel , Hanna-Barbara Gerl-Falkovitz , Walter Kasper , Karl Lehmann , Karl Schlemmer , Hans Waldenfels , Joachim Wanke .

The magazine has a print run of around 12,500 copies including a subscription run of around 4,500. It appears monthly with a double issue in July / August. It is in the 118th year (as of 2/2008).
In the second quarter of 2009, the print run was around 11,000 copies including 4,500 subscriptions.
