Klaus Vellguth

Klaus Vellguth (born July 8, 1965 ) is a German theologian . He works in the fields of pastoral theology, religious education and missiology. Vellguth is professor of missiology at the Philosophical-Theological University Vallendar , director of the institute for missiology and editor of the “ scoreboard for pastoral care ”.

Life

Vellguth first studied religious education / practical theology at the Catholic University of Mainz . In 2005 he did his doctorate under Ottmar Fuchs at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen. Two years later he completed his habilitation at the Philosophical-Theological University of Vallendar in the field of practical theology with a focus on missiology and worked as a private lecturer at the university . In 2008 Vellguth received his doctorate at the Faculty of Economics at the Carl-von-Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, followed by a doctorate at the Philosophical Faculty of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Hochschule Aachen in 2011.

One focus of his work is on publications with a pastoral theological , universal church and religious pedagogical focus as well as publications with spiritual content. In total, Klaus Vellguth has written or published over a hundred books.
