Apache Muse is an open-source - Framework for the implementation of web - interfaces for manageable resources in Java . Apache Muse enables a standard-compliant implementation of these interfaces according to the WS- * specifications. This makes it possible to use or make available resources on different host systems regardless of the platform .
Apache Muse supports the following Web service standards: WS-Addressing 1.0 and SOAP 1.2 for WS - * - compliant communication, Web Services Resource Framework 1.2 to implement stateful (stateful) web services, WS-Notification 1.3 to support event-driven programming ( " event driven programming "), WS-MetadataExchange for the communication of metadata (e.g. WSDL and its policies) and WS-Distributed Management 1.1 to enable the monitoring of the resources of other services.
Applications developed with Muse can be used in Apache Axis2 as well as in OSGi environments - Apache Muse contains a number of command line programs that can generate the appropriate artifacts for the respective environment.
Apache Muse applications can also run on devices with limited functionality, since Apache Muse can run on the Java Platform, Micro Edition .
Apache Muse is part of the Apache Web Services project.
