Apelação is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Loures . The community had 5559 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
With the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Apelação, Camarate and Unhos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Camarate, Unhos e Apelação .
