history
The Apostolic Prefecture of Brunei was established with the Bulle Constat in finibus on November 21, 1997 from cessions of territory by the Diocese of Miri . On October 20, 2004, Pope John Paul II elevated the Apostolic Prefecture to the Apostolic Vicariate with the Bull Ad aptius consulendum .

There are three parishes in Brunei:
- Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Bandar Seri Begawan under the direction of Arin Sugit (* 1972)
- Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Seria under the direction of Robert Leong (* 1960)
- St. John's Church in Kuala Belait under the direction of Paul Shie (* 1959)
