Arūnas Valinskas (born November 28, 1966 in Lazdijai ) is a Lithuanian television producer and presenter , show and talk show host , former politician, member and chairman of the Lithuanian parliament Seimas , founder and chairman of the party Tautos prisikėlimo partija .

Life

After graduating from the 12th Vilnius Middle School in 1984 , Arūnas Valinskas studied law at the Vilnius University Law Faculty (VU). He was de-registered twice because of concert activities that led to his graduation . Valinskas was editor of the newspaper " Justitia ". During his studies, Valinskas began a career as a cabaret artist . He worked for the Lithuanian television channel LNK as a presenter and producer. It was not until 2002 that he obtained his master's degree in criminal law under the supervision of his former fellow student Gintaras Švedas at VU. He has been the presenter of the "Auksinis protas" program at Lietuvos televizija (LRT) since .

politics

In the parliamentary elections in October 2008 , his newly founded Resurrection Party surprisingly became the second strongest party with 15.3 percent. She then took part in a bourgeois-conservative government coalition under the leadership of the Fatherland Union . According to the coalition agreement Arūnas Valinskas was at the first meeting of the new parliament on 17 November the new parliamentary speaker of the Seimas voted and voted on 15 September, 2009.

Arūnas Valinskas has been married to Ingrida Valinskienė (* 1966) since 1988 . She is a singer, television presenter and was also elected to parliament. They have the sons of Arūnas and Šarūnas.
