Arabella Hospitality is part of the Schörghuber group of companies. Activities focus on the operation of hotels and resorts in Germany, Switzerland and Mallorca. The hotels are operated under the brands of Marriott , such as St. Regis , The Luxury Collection , Westin , Sheraton , Four Points by Sheraton and Aloft.

history

The foundation stone for the engagement in the hotel industry and Arabella Hospitality was laid in 1968 with the establishment of Arabella Consult. In 1969 the first hotel opened, the Arabella Hotel Bogenhausen in Munich's Arabellapark . The Sheraton Munich, today's The Westin Grand Munich, opened for the 1972 Summer Olympics . The Arabella Olympiapark Hotel in Munich was also built in 1972. This was followed by the Arabella Alpenhotel on Spitzingsee and the Arabella Brauneck Hotel in Lenggries. In 1973, the Arabella Hotel in Frankfurt-Niederrad was the first hotel outside of Bavaria.

In 1998, the company founded the joint venture company ArabellaSheraton Hotelmanagement with ITT Sheraton (later Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.) , which had joint management and marketing responsibility for the hotels and resorts. The partnership was placed on a new foundation in 2011. Starwood Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International since 2016, took over the operational management of the group's hotels, while Arabella Hospitality has since concentrated on the development and asset management of hotel properties.

In the early 1990s, under the management of Stefan Schörghuber, three hotels were built on Mallorca, the Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel, the Castillo Hotel Son Vida and the St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort. Stefan Schörghuber was posthumously honored with two prizes in 2008 and 2009 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Balearic Islands and the Tourism School of the Balearic Islands for his long-standing commitment in the segment of quality tourism on Mallorca.
