Stefan Schörghuber (born July 6, 1961 in Mühldorf am Inn ; † November 25, 2008 in Munich ) was a German entrepreneur.

Life

Stefan Schörghuber was the owner of the Schörghuber Group in Munich. After the death of his father Josef Schörghuber in 1995, he took over the management and divided the historically grown family business into the areas of hotel, aircraft leasing, beverages as well as construction and real estate. He introduced modern management structures and expanded the company through international joint ventures .

Stefan Schörghuber's fortune was estimated by Forbes Magazine at US $ 3.5 billion in 2008 , which is 307th place on the list of the richest people in the world .

Private

Stefan Schörghuber was married to Alexandra Schörghuber , had three children (Stefanie * June 10, 1989, Michaela * July 6, 1991 and Florian * November 4, 1994) and lived in Munich. He died on November 25, 2008 at the age of 47 in his villa in Munich-Bogenhausen of cardiovascular failure. He was buried in his hometown of Wackersberg .

Together with his wife, Stefan Schörghuber campaigned financially and with great personal commitment for the Josef Schörghuber Foundation for Munich children founded by his father in 1995 , the socially disadvantaged children in Munich participation in holiday and leisure activities as well as in programs of public and cultural institutions enables. The Haus der Kunst in Munich was supported by the Schörghuber Group as the largest private donor from 1992 to 2014.
